My company Domain name possession??

my small firm need domain as "my company name.com" my Company logo is registered, Company Name registered by govt bodies, but someone has already taken the domain name & they don't use the domain, how 2 get it for my firm as i need it for my business to develop . Please can you provide a legal way of issuing notice to the fake users using my company name as their domain address!!

First off you will have to prove that you should be the rightful owner of the domain name. Was the domain name registered first or was your company name registered first? What are the current owners intention for the name?

You can do a whois search at http://whois.sc to find the current owners contact information. Start off with a friendly letter to the owner explaining the circumstances and ask his opinion on how to resolve the problem.

If that doesn't work have your attorney write a not so friendly letter to the owner demanding a resolution to the problem.

and follow the procedures for a domain name dispute.

Remember the current owner may have legitimate reasons to own the domain name.

All you can do is offer to buy it from the person that has it already.

If they've registered it, I don't think there's a lot you can do (you don't have a "right" to it). However, I'm sure theres a way you can approach them (and their host?) to agree a deal of some sorts. Perhaps that's why they've registered it - so they might make some money out of it.
