What are my options now (dealing with a collection agency)???

So this collection agency calls me one day and uses the whole fishing and harrasment methods and lying to figure out who I was, what my address was, and who I am...

After that I file a complaint with the FTC, Attorney Generals Office, and the BBB

I sent the letter requesting the proof of dept within 5 days as required by law, I sent it certified mail and have the signature stub here.

It has been over 5 business days with still nothing do I have any legal right now to request this dept (if I even have it) to be removed from my credit?

OC is right, they have 30 debts to validate the debt.

Getting married, you may think it's funny if they go to the BBB, but watch when you piss off someone who knows their rights and hits your company with a $1000 lawsuit for FDCPA or FCRA violations.

haha why did you report it to the BBB? They arent selling a product or sevice. I find this funny when people threaten to go to the BBB.

You are either being told incorrectly or have mis-interpreted the regulations. You are referring to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA), more specifically Section 809 that has to do with the validation of debts.

They have 5 days to send you information after initial contact. Now, if you did not tell them who you are it may not be considered initial contact because they did not talk to "you". So you will have no grounds on this aspect. Also during this initial period you send a letter to dispute the debt they have 30 days to respond.
