How safe is paypal regarding refunds?

i want to buy wholesale ps3's but i don't know if they(the business) are legit or not.
i've been emailing them and they sent me a bill which is for $1,000. Although I don't have to pay it, how safe am I if I pay them and it ends up a scam? will paypal refund the money?
i found them at www.tradekey.com
and their email address is: easyelectronicks@gmail.com
in case anyone has had experience with them.

Use your credit card through paypal. Most credit cards automatically cover you from fraudulent transactions made with the card. This way you are covered under 2 different options, either through paypal or calling the cc company to request a chargeback.

The site hasn't appeared on the phishing search engine, so it looks legit. Paypal are good when it comes to scams. Keep a record of all receipts received from the website so if anything does go wrong you can recover funds. But as I said, you can report scams and generally they recover the funds for you.

Hi. I work for PayPal and can suggest you a few things:
1. Check if the merchant has a PayPal account.
2. Make sure the merchant is covered by PayPal Buyer Protection program.
3. Call PayPal, talk to a live agent and express your concerns.
4. Do not fall for a scheme - send money to this email, we will ship item later. The item or a batch of items must be mentioned on your transaction.
5. Aks merchant to send you an invoice through PayPal.

You can contact me directly if you have more questions.
