Does this sound like a craigslist scam?

I am selling a pair of the new jordan 10/13 on craigslist and i got this response: "Hi, I am so glad you still have it for sale, I have been searching for
awhile for that. When I get into my office, I am going to have my
secretary send out a cashier check or business check to you. and to be
the best offer am gonna add another $40 to the price okay i promise
So, can you please give me your name, address and phone number so I
can issue the check out to you immediately. I am a very serious
buyer, so please take the item off for sale and I will provide you
with a tracking number as soon as I get it ok so as soon as the check
is cleared and you cash the money then my mover can can come forthe
pickup in your location.....Have a great day, talk to yasoon."

Does that sound like a scam. Not sure whether i should take the check. I mean i can cash it but if it ends up being fake, then what happens.

I was selling a car on Craig's list and got some of the same type responses. I believe it to be a scam. The best thing you can do is keep the listing on and deal with some better people. I'm not sure what the scam is but it is one.

You can also have some dialog back and forth with this person so that you waste his time and frustrate him. Confuse him, that's always fun. There are web sites devoted to wasting the time of these scamers, it's really the only way to get back at them but make sure you don't give them ANY personal information.

Thats more than I was selling the car for. I never thought I'd see the day...

SCAM!!! I get those annoying offers all the time. . .when you get the check (if you follow through) it will be from the UK or some foreign country

Deal locally. Don't **** with shipping. Craigs list is famous for shipping scams..

It is a scam, don't do it. Besides Craigslist warns you about this type of payments. Only accept cash a pair of jordans in not a million dollars is only hundred something if that, just take cash or nothing.

never....ever... accept cashier or buisness checks on craigslist. they are a scam over 90% of the time, it happend to me once, i was out $300 do not go through with it

SCAM!!! They tell you they are going to send more to get you hooked. Please dont fall for it. I bet if you put a piece of that in a google search you will find it somewhere online. and...why would he need a "mover" for tennis shoes. I have heard this before on cars.

Sounds like a scam to me. DO NOT give them YOUR bank account tracking number ( they can drain your account from long distance ). The scammer might send you a fake check for more than the sale price and want you to send him part of the difference ( then you get stuck with the whole bad check ). Think about it....since when do people just give you and extra $40.00, " just because ". It is a SCAM.

Doesn't sound good. Way to much detail and moving around.
