Do I need a seperate business address to be compliant? |
I chose to start my business as a C Corp because I can deduct things that I cannot deduct as an S corp or sole proprietership and I know that seperating your personal and business assets is essential in maintaining the corporate veil. What about a home based business? Can I run my business out of my home ( I would like to deduct a portion of my rent at tax time) as a C corp and still be considered a seperate entity? I could get one of those P.O. boxes at the UPS store that has a street address, and stil run the business out of my home, but I don't think I would be able to deduct my rent by going that route. . Does anyone know? I'd appreciate your feedback. The only address that must be a street address is the address of the Registered Agent. |
