You need to register a domain name, i.e. a web address for your business. You can do that at places like GoDaddy.com and Register.com. They will let you search to make sure your domain name isn't in use by any one else. They will also sell you additional services you may need for your business such as design of your site, customized e-mail addresses, e-commerce capabilities and hosting services.

Hire a web master to set up your web site. Let them register the name and design the web site. If you want to sell stuff, you will also need an e-commerce add on to take credit cards and ship out products.

Or you could do it yourself, there is lots of info on the Internet on that, but wouldn't you prefer to run the business instead any pay an expert to make and update and run your site?

I got a .co.uk for 拢6.05 for 2 years.

type in the address you want and it will show all the available .co.uk .com etc.... that are available.

then you just go through the "buy now" process and pay using a credit/debit card.

they then send you an email to confrim your purchase.

once bought you can also have one of their hosting packages which allows you to create your own website and also have emails such as bob@mybusiness.co.uk

in order to create a website tho, best to get a website designer to do it all for you. they can also do all the registration of domain name and sort the webhosting out too.

sure it will cost a bit, but at least you know it is being done correctly.

Find a place like godaddy to do a name search. Then find a user-friendly (i.e. not web site builder savvy person like I'm not) and use their easy-to-use web builder packages. However, if you really lack all skills at building your own web site, hire a pro.

It's not just about the address, tho. Once you have it make sure you have it attached to search engines. Otherwise nobody will be able to find you. Good luck!
