If you write a business letter, do you include the destination address and return address on the letter itself

I am writing a business letter and know the date goes on the top right corner, but can't remember if you need to include the address on the letter, or if the envelope is sufficient. This is a blank piece of paper with no letterhead.

Of course you do! What would happen if the envelope went astray and they needed to respond to you?

Put your address and contact details either across the very top of the letter, or block, jusify right, on the right hand side, the destination address goes underneath the date on the left hand side.

The business address is always placed about one fifth of the way down on the left side of a business letter on the first page. Your address would be placed a couple of spaces below your signature. If you write the letter on your computer you can create your own letterhead with your name, address and telephone number on top and centered.
