Does your business card have to have a physicall address on it? |
I own my own business and work from home. In my field (arts, entertainment, media), it's better if you don't restrict yourself to any one particular region. Since there's leeway (sp?) with creativity, can I leave off a physcial address and do something clever in it's place pointing to my website, etc? Although you would mostly communicate electronically, a mailing address/physical address is usually necessary for payment for many companies. And, it would be easy for them to to find that information on your business card. There's nothing wrong with replacing your address with a website. Most people who work from home are not allowed by their town to list their home address anyway. If you're really concerned, you can always purchase a po box for $50/mo. Nowadays replacing a website address with a physical address is accepted and fairly common as more people work from home. If customers don't visit you at all, then a website address will suffice. |
