Selfemployed.Do I need a businss address but my business is mobile??

What do i need if I what to start as self imployed in UK as an consultant being mobile. Not having a office or home office.

your business address will be your home address. dont matter if your mobile or not.

just means all business travel expenses will be deductable against your income.

go to www.hmrc.gov.uk and search for a form called CWF1, this is the form you need to fill out in order to register as self employed. make sure you comlpete and send it off within 3 months of the end of the month in which you started or else there is a 拢100 penalty to pay.

you will also need to pay class 2 National Insurance which is currently 拢2.20 a week, this will be setup once your CWF1 form has been processed.

then get an accountant, yes they cost money, but save a lot of hassle and stress.

i was exactly the same, self employed as a freelance barber, no office or home phone, you just ring the tax office tell them your registering your self as self employed, thats all i did, and then just keep good financial records, all money coming in, keep all receipts and records of money going out. for me it was as simple as that, good luck.

You need an address to register it at Companies House but it doesn't need to be your house it can be a PO Box No.
