Would you be put off by a myspace.com web address for a small business? |
If you were looking at a flyer or a business card for a balloon bouquet delivery service (and considering getting a delivery for your mom/significant other, etc.), would you honestly find it unappealing if the website was a myspace page? Don't you have to be a member of myspace to access all the features on a page anyways? I don't belong to myspace and it drives me crazy if someone directs me there and I try to click on someone's photos and it won't let me see them unless I sign up. that would not seem very legitimate to me. I'd shy away from it if I were thinking of doing business with them. I agree with the other post I agree with all of the above answers. My own take on MySpace is that the pages are too unappealing, always cluttered (as if eveything thereon was just tossed there randomly), just overall DORKIE. I'd much rather visit a business site done on a neat unclutered site even done on one of those free websites that you have a limited amount of freespace before you are charged anything (and the hosting company makes its money by just placing a small banner ad, like those on top of Yahoo 360 pages). Everything else on the page is your space to do whatever. Try to find a free website host that also has an EASY to use web-builder. (Don't expect to find it fast though, I'm still looking for one just so I can post a couple history articles and maybe a few google ads.) |
