(Usually one is fine). I wish you are talking about the Private Network you are having in your business. Use a Private IP Range. It depends on the size of your business meaning how many computers you intend to network. In most cases, most business usually use 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.254 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0. If your connected to the Internet, I would make sure that you have a good firewall appliance in place such as FortiGate or SonicWall. These companies have models for all sizes of networks. That depends on the router you will be using. If it only supports 254 addresses, then you will use 192.x.x.x For a local network under 240 machines I would suggest : |
