Does Revenue Canada have the right to ask for names, phone #'s , and addresses for business meetings?

I am a wildlife artist, and was just audited and received letter from Revenue Canada, stating that for all business meetings and barbecues, I had to provide names, addresses, and phone numbers, or I couldn't claim them as deductions. Wouldn't this be considered an invasion of privacy?
