Someone took over our small business website and redirecting it to their own, can we do anything about it?

We recently stopped our small business website, however the address with our business name is now being redirected to a competitor, can we stop this?

Did you neglect to purchase the domain name again? If so, they did not steal it, they likely legally purchased it.

You can still get it back, but prepare to pay. You will have to file with the World Intellectual Property Organization (http://www.wipo.int) and it will take some time.
