My professor wants me to write a 350 word business solution and I have no clue what she wants. A letter? HELP! |
Can anyone help me with this? I selected a senario then she wants me to determine what form to use like a memo, letter, or email then decide who I am writing to then write a business solution of 350 words addressing the communication problem. So do write a letter? Letters remain hugely important in our everyday lives. People still feel the need to hv something confirmed in writing. Below are some top tips for getting u letter right. I would write a memo. Check with someone else in your class to see what they are doing (Facebook is a great tool to find their contact info). The TRUE answer is "IT Depends" -- look at the scenario you are dealing with -- and determine whether you need the memo, a formal letter (and what type -- is it employee related problems), or e-mail/messages -- which is most informal. Talk to your fellow classmates, and if still confused -- ASK the professor! I am sure the Professor will be THRILLED to DEATH that SOMEONE finally asked an intelligent question about an assignment! You would first have to determine the scenario before deciding what type of format to use. This should include the relationship between you and the addressee. Because If you are addressing somebody from another company, you would use a formal letter with your company麓s letterhead. If you are addressing someone within the company, you would use a memo. Both forms are formal and serious by nature and the wording in your letter should express this. However, If you feel the problem is not serious and is between a peer and you, then you can write an e-mail since this is the least formal of the three. I hope this helps. I would email the professor at the very least or swing by during her office hours. This is an excellent way to start a dialog with that professor which can be an invaluable resource. I just graduated in Dec with my BA and had a close relationship with a few of my professors which helped me navigate classes, get stuff for graduation taken care of, opened opportunities for me and was especially helpful when I applied to grad school (recommendation letters!) |
