What is considered women's business professional attire? |
I have a skirt suit that is light grey based with light blue and white accents. I actually saw it on the state of the union address, but I am wondering if this is considered "business professional" and be okay to wear in february? I guess I should add that it is a graduate school interview for a public administration program. I want to look professional, but friendly and approachable since I essentially want to work with the public. absolutely appropriate I think if you feel comfortable and confident in this dress - its the best for you. It sounds appropriate to me. Appropriate style of business wear also depends on location, i.e., the east coast is more formal than the west coast in the US. My advice would be just to make sure your skirt isn't too short. Studies have shown that you would not be taken as seriously when dressing in what some would consider sexy. Mostly, business attire means professionally styled dresses, pant suits and typically, 2 to 3 piece skirt suits. |
