Does anyone know how to erase addresses in the address box so know one can know where you are logging on to.?

I am talking about the long address box that say address on it I would like to log onto other websites without it copying it down so now when you click on the arrow in the address box it 's automatically there which is annoying cause I don't want people who are using my computer to know my business.

Go to "Tools,"
"Internet Options,"
then "Clear History"

go into the tools tab and click on history.. then hit the button that says clear history.
