I asked a question earlier regarding a belly up business?

I asked earlier how to determine if a company is still in business? What I neglected to state is that I know the city & street address that it used operate out of. With this added info, can I just contact that city via the internet to see if it is still in busimess?

You can check this by Better Business Bureau in your State.

Try on-line phone listings. No business still active has an unlisted number. Don't forget to check neighboring cities, just in case they moved.

Visit the web site of your local authority like the council,county or the muncipal corporation.There addresses of local business establishments are listed.In such cases the web site address will be ending with .org or .gov.Just type the place name followed by county or council as it is known there and .org or .gov .
