Can I get in trouble puting signs out for my computer business, how can I avoid anyone"fining" me?

Hello, I am puting signs out for my computer business but don't want to get in trouble, I don't have a physical address or anything, can I get in trouble with the townships for doing this, and how would they find me if I do not have a physical address? Some guy called me and said he got fined for doing this. These signs are a major source of income for me, if I don't use them I would have no business. Any ideas?

i would like to add that these signs are not "illegal" as I ask the businesses before I post them.. I also meant I do not have a physical address as in I do this freelance.

Putting a sign up "anywhere" would be good for "all" general businesses, but the cities don't want a mass number of signs cluttering their communities. Can't blame them.

How is it that you have no physical address? Any reputable company needs a county occupational license, that I believe requires a physical address for mailing tax notices, etc. I am curious about how you can have no address.

"They" will find you the same way your customers will: by the address or phone no. on your illegal flyers or signs. And it won't take long, because your legal competitors will call them.
