How to set up a business email account?

I have a chicken/egg problem.

I have a yahoo id. I have a website that was just moved to yahoo serving. I setup a business email account for that website (sheldon@bar.com -- exmaple domain). I moved the DNS server entries so now bar.com is on yahoo. I can't seem to figure out how to get to my new email at bar.com with yahoo. My existing yahooID won't see it. I can't verify the new address at sheldon@bar.com because I can't get to bar.com.

If I try to set it up as pop email, then in yahoo I have to upgrade to Mail Plus. If I try to access through pop email in Outlook, it doesn't seem to work (I think because the account's not yet been verified?)

Am I hosed? I set up the account but didn't verify it before I switched dns addresses.

I suggest you contain SBC Global about paying to maintain just that e-mail address for a month or so, and set up an automatic forward to your new e-mail address. Good luck!
