Determining the physical address?

I am setting up a company in Missouri but am using a psydo address in Kansas for mail, along with a IP phone that redirects to my home phone in Missouri. Do I register the business in the state where the work is being performed regardless of the fact that it looks like I am operating out of a different state? Will that cause any questions with the State taxs in Kansas?

It is not really a fake address, I work from my house but I don't want people randomly showing up at my house, so the address is to give people a place to mail things without coming to my house by accident.

Register in the state you are in. Why do you want to hide? Most people want to do business with someone they trust, not someone that is operating behind a fake address.
