What is the cost of renewing Mayor's Business Permit in Manila? Is it really as high as PhP200,000?

Our Philippine branch office is in Alabang, Muntinlupa. We are in trading business with 28 staff and our annual gross sales is about PhP150M. Our finance department claims that the renewal cost for mayor's permit is a whooping PhP220,000! They say that this is the annual cost that they are paying. Is this the right fee?

Since your branch office is in Alabang, Muntinlupa - you will get your business permit from Muntinlupa City - not in Manila.

Considering your annual gross sales of about 150 million pesos, Php 200,000 is a realistic figure.

Ask your finance department to submit a copy of the business permit including all attachments and breakdown of fees paid.

compared to Olongapo that is very low. we pay about 1%

I say based on your gross sales of Php150M, 200K is just enough or even quite low. You might want to request an assessment from your finance departmen.
