Evaluating and accepting job offers, what would you do? |
Here is the scenario. I have two job offers, one offered 32k a year starting and the other offered 44k a year starting. Both have similar benefits packages (health, dental, vision, 401k) and I can see myself working both jobs. The job offering 32k is in an office setting where you get yearly salary increases and a bonus depending on your branch's profits. The job offering 44k is in retail ('nuff said). You need to decide if this a career step, or a job. If it's a career step, and you want into retail, then that would make sense. If the work you are going to do in the office position is a better career step (skills, contacts, progression), then that would be the route. |
