3.What is the term of office for person in this branch of government?

There are 3 different branches of government. There is the Judicial which consists of the Supreme Court( For the U.S. Supreme Court it is a lifetime appointment, there are nine justices, there are no "judges" on the Supreme Court and appointments to the federal judgeships are at levels below the Supreme Court are also permanent appointments), the Executive branch which consists of the President(who can serve only two terms(one term is 4yrs) which equals a total of 8yrs) and Vice President(Under the 22nd Amendment, if a Vice-President succeeds to the Presidency through death, resignation etc, and serves more than two years of his predecessor's term then he may be elected only once in his own right, for a total of between six and eight years, depending how much unexpired term was serve), and the Legislative branch( there is some Congressmen that have been there all their life) which is made up of the Congress and government agencies, such as the Government Printing Office and Library of Congress, that provide assistance to and support services for the Congress. Article I of the Constitution established this branch and gave Congress the power to make laws. Congress has two parts, the House of Representatives and the Senate.
