If a Democrat is elected, what are the odds Republicans will suddenly miss those pesky checks and balances?

In Bush's time in office, his administration sought to weaken the system of checks and balances in place, thus effectively giving Bush unlimitted power...
It would be an irony if Hillary is elected- as thanks to the Republican attempts to make the executive branch accountable to no one, she'll be the most powerful president in history-
What are the odds if a Democrat is elected, Republicans will back pedal and try to restore the checks and balances they sought to dismantle when Bush was in power?

100%.

Sort of how they claim to be for "state-rights".

That's what they say, when they are out of power. When they are in power, they take federal action against California's medical marijuana and air pollution laws, Oregon's right to die laws, and Massachusetts gay marriage laws.

Examples please of how the Republicans sought to weaken the system of checks and balances.

Odds are 94%

Absolutely.

The odds of a democrat being elected are getting lower by the day no matter who gets nominated just look at the fools on here fighting. More it goes on the more MccCain benefits .

I have said before and I say again that I am opposed to one party rule. I did not like it under Clinton or Bush. If you like corruption, one party rule is the way to go. Have fun!
