He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress.

I admire Congressman Paul, but he is NEVER going to be President because of all the reasons you listed. No matter what Americans say they want, they ALWAYS vote for the rich, white, establishment guy that is often corrupt.

most of his support are just liberals who are starting to grow a brain, and haven't fully developed yet, so they vote for a half liberal/ half conservative, also known as a libertarian

paul is right on many issues, and wrong on more than a few, including the war. if he would have just had the right idea on the war, he could have had the nomination.

Ron Paul is stark raving mad. He wants to pretend that the government works in a way that only he sees. He thinks he can leave huge sectors unattended and it will turn out fine. So no, we aren't stupid for not voting Paul.

Who cares about any of that - it is what he is advocating that is extreme and has been soundly rejected by the American public.

Ron Paul is a good candidate for president but see many Americans are not looking for good honest people like Ron Paul they want people like Bushes, Clinton's etc to lie and screw us over.
