Why is Ron Paul ignored since day 1?

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul鈥檚 Record:
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

Congressman Paul introduces numerous pieces of substantive legislation each year, probably more than any single member of Congress

Freedom and peace really pisses people off. It absolutely disgusts them.

They think it's much easier for the government to tell them what to do, and for the media to tell them what to think. It takes a LOT less effort.

I support Ron Paul. And if needs to be, I will partake in a revolution for freedom.

"Give me liberty, or give me death."

EDIT:

How is he too old? He is McCains age, and people LOVE McCain.

Also the reason no one is voting for him is, because the media isn't informing people of him.

Duh.

It seems like alot of people don't want to say what the real reason is.

Because he is irrelevant

Not enough montetary backing!!!

Because he is not electable and because he voted against the war and against the patriot act and for federal restriction on gun ownership....strike three, he's gone!

He hasn't sold out to the corporate america. So of course the corporate media is not going to give him any coverage. It really is sad.

I have read his article "Neo-conned" over and over again. He is a real prophet for today.

Just look at the people around you, and you'll see why he was ignored from day one. America doesn't believe in liberty anymore, the new mantra is security with some liberties. Better start learning how to goose-step...

Too old and does't stand out.

what does a salad dressing have to do with polotics

Who is he? ........Oh....THAT Ron Paul. I thought you were talking about that cross dresser - ??, Oh no,though...that's Rue Paul

Who is Ron Paul?

He is tweaked in the head. Two of his three no votes were wrong. Besides, he almost makes Ross Perot look sane!

Because he is a wingnut.

Because he doesn't have the brains to be President.

Don't get me wrong.....I like the guy...he's funny....but that doesn't mean I want his finger on the button.....nossir.

?he voted against the patriot act for starters, those bills he introduced were so lame most never made it to the floor, need I go on

In order to answer this question effectively, you have to realize what Ron Paul stands for.

1. Campaign Reform - Limit source of contributions to individuals.
2. Lobby Reform - Why does it seem okay that people who
decide our futures are allowed to take bribes?
3. Reducing the power of the Federal Government. Returning more of the power back to the states to a form that was the intention of the constitution.

I could go on... but ultimately... Commercials bring in a lot of money for Television Stations/Networks and with campaign reform, they would lose the very costly ad campaigns that we see every 4 years. Media has a lot of power. News can make or break a person. Right now, if the news picked up concerns the McCain may have been 'programmed' while he was a POW for many years... I don't think he'd do so well.

Ultimately, Ron Paul isn't getting attention because he doesn't represent Capitalistic Vulturism.

I think the problem is a no-win situation. If he runs as independent he will still be ignored because America is overly obsessed with the bi-partisan political system that is destroying our freedoms, along with the electoral college that takes the vote out of the hands of the people.

If he runs Republican, as he has so far, he is completely overshadowed by the circus of candidates the GOP has thrown at us in the wake of realizing Bush's reign of ignorance is over. Candidates such as McCain and Romney received better backing from the party. Other candidates, like Huckabee, did better campaigning and got better news coverage. I like Ron Paul. I like Huckabee too, but candidates have no chance at all in these elections, which merely parade under a guise of freedom, but are not actually free.

the real reason Ron Paul is not a serious candidate is his stance on the issues he *doesn't* talk about. for example:

-getting rid of K-12 free, public education.

-no limits on pollution, meaning a company could dump toxic waste in our water without legal ramifications.

do a little research on the issues he doesn't usually mention, and you'll find out about the other side of Ron Paul.
