Where on earth are legistatures w/ salary of 75 thou per month, 22 million run'ng d'r job & 150 mil pork?

Legislature are persons who enact laws of the country, period! But in the Philippines where 90% of population are so poor, our Legislature has abused their privilege. At first , you will think their salary is about 75,000 pesos/month, or 1500 U.S. dollar, but scrutinizing further, they have 28 million pesos per year to run their office including travel expenses. Another catch is the 150 million "country development funds" which is the root cause of corruption. And last, there is the unliquidated 'millions' bribe by the President to get a favorable response. These pork barrels amounting to 150 million each, with 220 members in the lower house, is a big, big amount. Because of these bribe money and previleges, our ligislatures has surrendered their independence from the executive branch of the govern. No more check and balance . Where on earth do you see seventy of them, join the President's trlip abroad paralyzing the Chamber, and at the expense of urgent laws to be enacted.

I think all the Philippine government officials should jump off the cliff and let the govt start over with smart and uncorrupted officials. The govt officials are getting richer while the poor citizens are getting poorer. I mean the senators' sons and daughters go to school in either Europe or US. So, where do they get money?? exactly!!! They only care about themselves and their families. They dont care about the poor, homeless families living on the side of the street, or under a bridge. The govt should do something about, about the economy, and how to end poverty! Thats their job, to make Philippines a better place for everyone and every Filipino citizens to have a better life.

Sounds very similar to the situation here in the US.
