Would you go for a second try?

I went for an interview that was kind of confusing because I found out that they needed me to move and stay 300km away from where I live.

I told them that I intended to work at the place where I stay now and I know they have a branch office there. But they say there was no vacancy there.

So, I didn't know if they actually wanted to hire me or not bec after that I didn't hear from them.

I am also currently working part time at the branch where I would like to be a full time worker.

One of my colleagues advised me to apply again to another department for the job.

I do not know if I should do it because my boss asked me to wait for about 3 months and that he will recommend me to become full time.

I do not know if i should follow my colleague's advise or wait for my boss' promise to come true.

Anone has something to say about my condition?

Think about how long you have been at your job. Do you trust your boss? Some places you work people are only out to move themselves along. If you like your job and can stay at part-time wait, but send the boss and email and verify he will put you in for full time in a few months in writing. You can go about it by explaining truthfully how you feel about your job, what you are asking for and maybe he can get you some overtime or additional hours until you have full time.
