Recommend to me a firewall appliance for a VPN between two locations.?

My workplace is looking at adding a branch office, and we need to set-up a VPN between the two locations. I have nailed down how we are going to accomplish the Internet portion of the VPN, I just need to know what firewall appliance to use.

I've looked at the ZyWall 2 Plus from Zyxel, the Sonicwall TZ150 from SonicWall, and the NETGEAR FVS124G.

The Branch will only have at most 4 PCs, and 2 POS Systems needed to connect to the base network. It's also going to be used as a training center, but the learning stations don't need to be on the VPN.

I work for a non-profit organization, so costs are a big issue as well.

I've worked with the Sonicwalls before, and they are a snap to setup. I've found two bad units out of five at one company...so beware of that. Their tech support for the lower level appliances is terrible; so buy the upper line and get USA tech support.

I've just started to use Zyxel appliances, and am very pleased so far. First one went bad after a month...second one working OK. Good tech support depending on who you get.

With what I've seen so far, I'd recommend the Zyxel. Fast, easy to setup, and above average tech support.

When your a hammer - every problem looks like a nail =). I am a "Cisco guy" so I would look at a ISR - perhaps an 1800 with the Firewall Feature set on it. Regardless of what you use however, be sure to use IPSec as your VPN technology - not something like GRE. I would run a routing protocol across it (which implies IPSec inside a GRE) but that might be overkill ... again, I am a router person so I always prefer to route when I can.
