My supervisor is stealing from the company. I am scared to say anything. What should I do?

We work in a branch office that is about 40 miles away from our corporate office and the owner has no clue what is going on.

Have a private meeting with the owner or maybe even send an annonymous note/fax to the owner it's the right thing to do :)

quit. find another job

How do you KNOW your supervisor is stealing? What proof do you have?

send an anonymous note to the owner. Try and document what you are witnessing. As a reward, you may get supv's position

snitches get little reward

Does the owner have an e-mail address? If so, send an anymous e mail to him. Dont ignore this..that how the crooks get away with it.

Document it somehow and send it to them anonymously. Or ask the police what you should do. Don't turn your back-you are a valuable employee and if it was my company, I would want to know and want to reward you. Is there some person above your supervisor that would keep it confidential?

Understand your concern but you also have to think about the possibility that -- he/she (when the loss is eventually noted) will say it was you stealing.

Who hired you into the company and do you have a good rapport with them ? If so you can ask for their advice. If not either go to the highest ranking officer and tell them, or request a transfer out of the location.

Your in a bad spot.

How much do you like your supervisor?...your job? This is a tough spot. The right thing to do would be to let corporate know what is going on. If you go that route, make sure of your facts before saying anything. If you do nothing and it comes out later, you run the risk of being painted with the same brush because of your connection with him/her.
Good luck!

You do know what is right or wrong. You should try to go straight to the main office and try to talk to the owner without involving your name, unless that does not affect you that much.Stand up for what you believe, without being afraid.

First of all make sure you have proof. Then if you want to keep your job,go over his head and tell them. You might tell his or her boss what your thinking. What if you were to get the blame for what ever is being stolen.Would he/she come forward with the truth?I doubt it.You really need to cover your butt. The owner would be eternally grateful I'm sure.Good luck.....it's a hard thing to do.....but do whats right.I hate a thief

if you are sure and i mean dead right sure than you have to report him -- i would put all the facts as you see them down on paper (insure you keep copy) and forward it to the owner of the company. one of three things could come of it == you could be proven wrong and fired == you could be proven wrong - but retain because you just did not have all the facts (lets say that you and the rest of the employees have access to gas at work and you notice that your boss fills up his car from the company pump) to you that is steaing, but he may have it in is contract that he gets free gas. in this case you should keep your job and rewarded for pointing out something you thought was wrong. or the third thing could happen - you could be the new boss and the old boss is sent packing. i still say put it is writing and forward it to the owner. good luck

He is stealing from you. By damaging your company he damages you, you must inform the owner of your company.
