Which branch of the US Government needs to be changed the most?

House of Representatives?
Senate?
Judiciary Committee?
Oval Office?
Supreme Court?

all areas need a good scrub down...after what has been going on lately.
And the people who suggest you should be going to jail for asking this question need to read our constitution and learn about what this country is all about.

Supreme Court. They must stop Legislating from the Bench, their out of control.

Senate and House of Representatives. What did they do?

Oh wait, baseball steroids, thank God they did that.

EDIT: Jim W. i revised my answer to your last question, so you know the reason why i put that.

Supreme Court - Barf

legislative...house and senate

why are you still advocating the overthrow of the US Government? do you want to go to jail?

The entire US Government should be overhauled and given back to the people and for the people not BIG BUSINESS!!!

The one that will change hands in November 2006.
Second most needy for change by a close second, the one that will change hands in November 2008!
Democracy is coming back to the US of AAAAA!!!!!!

All of the above.

"This government of the people by the people and for the people belongs to the people. If the people at some time grow weary of the government, they can exercise their constitutional right to change it or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it." - Abraham Lincoln

I dont' know a branch that doesn't need an overhaul.

Congress is ridiculous with its curruption, speding, pork, and partisanship.

The executive branch is been leading us in the wrong direction- being the most divisive executive I've ever seen.

I used to have a higher opinion of the supreme court, until I read some of their rulings. They are not a group of brillian legal minds, but rather a set of mediocre judges who have played the politic game well. Just a bunch of politicians.

Our Government is by NO means perfect. I'm not so sure any Branch needs to be "changed " each area serves its own purpose.. I don't think it would hurt to update all the Branches to the 21st Century !!! We still hang onto the Founding Fathers every word, and not that we need to change the principles set forth by them , but we need to modernize our thinking to the problems our country is facing at this time...So in answer to your question,, all areas need a face lift.!!

Apparently there is one poster here who is aware of the reality of what is taking place. The Supreme court is imbued with the responsibility to interpret the constitution. Not look to results from decisions from other countries, in their attempt to make rulings regarding constitutional issues. Using that information to enact laws, which is not the prerogative of that body. Seems like there is some recent effort to embed some judges who are actually interested in following the constitution.

Well, right now the executive branch is the biggest problem! The last 6 years has proved to me that US Presidents have way too much power!

Its not a questions of which needs to change the most because it is a 4 way tie.

The HOR and Senate must begin representing the people and not their parties or the special interests that donate to their national parties. They are elected to represent the will of their constituents, not pawns used to carry out the agenda of their political party.

The Supreme Court must stop legislating from the bench. They are not lawmakers or social activists, their job is to make sure laws and legal decisions are made within the framework of the constitution.

The Oval Office needs to remind itself what the mandates and limitations of the constituion is and make sure no legislation passes his desk that is contrary to the constitution or that is outside the scope of the constitution. Spreading democracy isn't in the constitution.

What Jesi said.

None of them need to be changed,,, but they all need to do their job

Supreme Court could do with a good dose of constructionist thinking. I think the other branches are OK for the most part, but I would like the election system to be reformed in such a way as to drastically reduce incumbency.

The whole judicial system. Way too much power.

Judiciary with the Senate a close second.

Judiciary - Supreme Court.

Their job is to interpret laws as written, not to make new laws.

They should stick to what the Constitution requires, allows and prohibits, not "what's a good idea or not." I think laws against sodomy are stupid, but I don't see a constitutional right to sodomy in the constitution. This is one of the many, many points that some liberals appear to be unable to understand, and that leads them to merely hurl insults rather than make a valid point. I feel embarrassed for them.

PS Was Bush v Gore "judicial activism?" Yes! Read the concurring opinion - much better reasoning. Too bad the Florida and New Jersey (2002 senate race) state Supreme Courts are out of control too .
