Fix Deposit - Post Office?

I have invested in 6 yr. fix deposit scheme in post office certificates, would like to know do I need to contact the same agent when it matures or I can cash it out from any other agent ? or from post office branch ? I also cannot find original certificates what can I do?

the chertificates can be encashed from the post office, which issued them your agent canhelp u.if u cant find the certificate god bless u. in that case u have no alternate but to trace the person ( agent ) who got them for u he might remember the post office and date on which they were purchased and procedure to get the refund agains an indemnity letter.

if u don't get original certificates u can not get the maturity.
u can directly go to post office & get the full redeemption.

for withdrawl of maturity amount from post office,no need to meet the agents,directly you can go to the concerned post office. but as you do not have original certificates,you can request the post master in writing with atleast either the copy of original certificates if you have or with sl.nos of certificate.

For reedemtion there is no need of agent. And for the duplicate certificates u can apply in writing to the post master.
