Is each national bank/state-member bank member of ONLY one of the twelve Federal Reserve Banks?

Or each bank could be member of more than one Federal Reserve Banks at the same time, depending on where it sets up office branches? Thx!

Good question.

Each member bank belongs to just one Fed branch, regardless of the number of their branches. Usually that is where the bank HQ is. Not sure what happens when a bank HQ moves or is acquired
