Three branches and separation of powers. - Does it truly exist? |
Since all Supreme Court judges (Judicial Branch) are lawyers, most congressmen (Legislative Branch) are lawyers, and many presidential candidates and others in the Executive Branch of government are lawyers; As a government teacher, on paper the powers are separated. However in reality sometimes the line is blurred. I mean it was Marbury V. Madison that set the precedent of Judicial Review so that started that power. When they impeached Andrew Johnson that was the first time they used that power. If you look at the History of American Government it is always changing that is what makes America so great. If we can't change then we will no longer be a country. right after we give IQ test to those who want to vote. No, all three branches are controlled by the globalist elite. Under the current administration, there is no separation of powers. Bush has taken the law into his own hands, creating a police state wherein citizens are presumed guilty until proven innocent; wherein our Constitution doesn't matter; and wherein his Attorney General can fire people based purely on political vendetta. By your argument you should restrict Doctors from practicing Medicine. There are a lot of Lawyers in politics, because they actually understand the nuances of the law. Often when we get laws that make no sense, are counterproductive and uneforcable it was a non-lawyer who wrote the legislation. They then blame it on lawyers when the poorly written law doesn't work. Lawyers are not a political party but are part of a profession, with many differing political views. And there are plenty of other professions represented in the political system as well. The head of the Executive branch is an MBA not a lawyer, for example. |
