Wall street question: regarding series 9/10. i have the series 7,63,55,24,4, and 53. would there be any?

benefit for me to take the series 9/10 considering the licenses i already have. i wouldn't really want to work as a branch manager and would prefer working in the main office of a large firm like Lehman, JP Morgan Chase, etc. Would the 9/10 benefit me in any way? i am kind of getting sick of taking these tests, but if there would be a large benefit to taking this one i might do it.
any advice is greatly appreciated.

You have absolutely no reason to get a 9/10. NONE. You have the ability to supervise everything from trading to municipals and options and general securities. No major wire house is going to require you to go take the 9/10 if you have the 24. The only guys with the 9/10 are going to be the partners who started with the firm years ago. Don't take anything else.

As far as certifications and degrees, MBA's are great for investment bankers and analysts, CFA's are too. CFP's are great for dually registered folks that also have an IA were they can get paid for their advise in conjunction with their 65 or 66. Stick to your guns. Keep your freaking U-4 clean and you already have enough licenses to get a decent gig.

I took the series 8 to be a branch manager and officer of the company. It allows you to supervise and is recognized by the exchanges. I never heard of the series 9/10. From what you have already, you are an option principal, so I don't know why you would want anything more.

Rather than acquiring licenses that may or may not be relevant to your career, why not get an actual certification? CIMA, CFP, CFA, CMT, CAIA, FRM...there are plenty to choose from, depending on your interests. Or maybe even an MBA.

I don't see licenses as adding any marketability to your resume. Generally you can get a job without having the license and the employer will allow you to get the license. Certifications will get you in the door. Licenses allow you to stay there.

Why do you keep asking this question? This makes 8 times in the last 3 days. Ther Series 9 and 10 is like a series 24 lite, which you already have so I see no benefit in it all. Whey do you have so many licenses anyway? You say you don't want to be a branch manager, yet you have 3 supervisory licesnses. If you came to me with all those the first thing I would probalby do make you get a 6 and an insurance lic. and make you a branch manager.
