It's not true...it's a scam. First, the name of the bank is wrongly written. Second the manager of such a bank would use the company letterhead and email address. Thirdly he sells himself ou by conceding that it is unlawful for him to receive such money but wnats the reader to help him break the law.......must I carry on with how stupid the letter is?????

Oh God, you too!!!!!!!!!!! So far I have had these from SA, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Biafra (which does not exist anymore!!) Ivory Coast and Congo..... the English is hilarious as well!!!! I have replied asking them for their bank details so I could help but they never seem to reply.....LOL !

This is not true. This letter is known as a Nigerian Money Transfer Fraud or 419 Scam. Even though this letter mentions South Africa on it, the letter is a typical 419 scam letter sent as spam.

No. Look at the person it's addressed to: how do they know you're trustworthy if they don't even know whether you're male or female? People are so gullible... =)

Another African scam. These people seem to know only crime and thus it becomes a "career" for them with South Africa being a prime example.

This is the easiest way to steal from you, I am sorry to say but who ever sent this wants to screw you over.... Unfortunately many pple turn to corruption in SA, whatever you do please do not give out your bank details to anyone. I do not know how it works but when they have your bank account NR they steal from your bank account, it happened to my mother in law's boss they got away with R50 000 in a matter of minutes and even had the audacity to phone him and laugh at him
