Are Congress & the Senate doing the lobs they were elected to do? Ron Paul doesn't think so.?

http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2007/ts...

In his Notes on Virginia, Thomas Jefferson spoke clearly and directly about the idea of elected representatives delegating their responsibility to other branches of government, saying in no uncertain terms that since such representatives had received their authority by delegation from the people-- expressly for the use as representative-- the legislature had to choose to either use the authority granted or return it to the people. In other words, there is to be no delegation of authority from the representatives to the executive branch of government.

Concerns with signing statements ought to include a concern for the health of our constitutional republic, it ought not to be based upon the political battle of the day. Regardless of whether the President is named Bush or Clinton, and without respect to any particular political interest, we in Congress need to fulfill our oath of office and protect and defend the constitution and our republic. Our constituents deserve no less, and should demand it of all of us.

Please change lobs to "JOBS", sorry!

The congress has made money for their backers.
They've let the Fed run the economy into the ground while the banksters have gotten rich. American's are so deeply in debt that they are essentially slaves.
Congress has been busy but doing all the wrong things.
Dr. Paul has been warning Congress about these things since the 80's! They have ignored him and will continue to do so. Even with calamity staring them square in the face they will cling to their idea of just throwing more money at a problem in order to solve it. Take a look at Zimbabwe and see what our future holds.
I think people are too stupid to vote for Dr. Paul even though I still will and will encourage everyone that I can. As long as people don't think that he can win they won't vote for him. Americans like winners and they will support someone that they think can win even though he sucks because they want to be associated with winning. That is why things never seem to change.

Democrats think Bush firing of 6 offcials is the most important thing in the world right now.

From a libs point of view they are.

Let's see what they've accomplished so far.

Well, they have whined about Bush alot!

I agree with Ron paul about a lot of things. He started out as a guy I did not like and ended up being the only one willing to defend out constitution 100 %.

Nope, just spending MY money.

Republicans fail to see the point - the firings themselves are not the issue. The president clearly has the authority to fire U.S. Attorneys. The issue is whether the firings were politically motivated, i.e. were the USAs fired because they were prosecuting Republican wrongdoers? That, my friends, should be of concern regardless of which side of the aisle you happen to be on. The USAs' obligation is to prosecute wrongdoers regardless of party affiliation.

Ron Paul is our ONLY presidential candidate that constitutionally represents America at present as a representative. That ALONE otta be getting the voters attention!!!
