I will be having a phone interview with Bank of America? *I need help!!*?

My interview s this monday(09/17/07)....last yr around this time of the yr I had applied for BoA too...I had my phone interview & then had an interview at a branch with a the bank manager....and they told me that the next step was to do my background check and finger prints and all the stuff.....I ended up NOT going because since I am not legal i thought it was just going to be a waste of their time and mine just to tell me i wasnt on the system or what ever it s that they tell you. But i recently applied again because I really want that teller position and dont want to be stuck in an office 8hrs just sitting down answering phones and doing invoices....I want to do something different, but now am having my doubts again...should I keep on going and take my chances even if I get rejected or should I simply NOT answer the phone when they call me???? and if I do choose to go on what will i expect to happend?

Go ahead and do the interview; it is always worse thinking about it than the actual interview. Also when you anticipate negative responses, you get negative responses. Think positive, or at least neutral, and do the interview.

I will say, PICK UP THE Phone.
Even if you will reject the job later, still go in for the interview. Get the experience. I have work as a teller before, its a nice facinating job. You have to be friendly and outgoing to like the job. Anyway, I will say go in for the interview. you got nothing to lose.

You referenced the fact that you "are not legal", if that means you are an illegal alien, then they CAN'T hire you! As soon as they run your SSN and fingerprints, they will have to stop. Taking on the interview will only prolong the agony and may set the wheels in motion for more drastic legal action.
If you proceed with the interview, start it off with telling them you are not authorized to work legally in the US, and then ask them if they will sponsor you! If they say yes, then go ahead with the remainder of their questions, if not, well you know the answer.
