Is it fair to say Bush reflects the true heart of GOP ideology?

Has the relentlessness with which he has pursued his policies has really shown the citizens of the USA what the GOP really stands for the last several years when they have had not only the relentless Bush in office but also the control of all 3 branches of government?? and does this have anything at all to do with the job approval ratings of the Mr. Bush during these years?

i think it is

Bush reflects the cowardice and ignorance of the masses.

I'm sorry but... one must first have a heart before anyone can become a "refeletion" of it.

86% of the American people, or so I have read, including many of the GOP congressmen, are very much against the recent immigration and Bush's wanting to grant amnesty. This is scarcely in accord with GOP policy.

Actually it's not fair. I've been a long standing member of the GOP and an old time conservative.

Bush is no conservative, he's a liberal. Fiscal irresponsibility, more government control, an increase in the size of government, are all things that I do not support.

The Democratic party is having it's issues as well, as far as I'm concerned. They have been infiltrated by the far left who are socialists in disguise. Their dream is to turn us into a Nanny State.

You are cheating. You are supposed to ask one question and give up five points. Your first question has an erroneous assumption. There is no GOP ideology. Members of the Republican party have differing political views. Conservatism is an ideology. It represents a set of political values. Mr. Bush is not a conservative. He is responsible, with Congress, for runaway spending...liberal. He is responsible, with Congress, for the Medicare drug bill...liberal. He, his administration and Congress are responsible for not securing our borders and allowing illegal immigration...liberal. The failed amnesty bill would have been a liberal move.
You use the word "relentless" as a pejorative. It shows your bias. "Persevering" would be a better choice.
Have you been out of the country? The Dems have controlled Congress - and have accomplished almost nothing - since January. Job approval ratings are not relevant. The Democrat controlled Congress is already 15 points below Mr. Bush's rating, and it only took them seven months to sink there.
All of your questions amount to Bush bashing. I think he is a good man and has done a good job when he governed as a conservative.

Bush, with the help of Abramoff relentlessly demonized moderate Republicans in his own party, calling them RINOs, (Republican In Name Only). He parts with the moderates of his party on spending, borrowing, privacy rights, and treatment of National Parks.

He does not represent the Republican party in many ways...and I am a dyed in the wool Democrat.

Addition: Hanging his flaws on Liberals is absolute ignorance. Bush and his cronies are NO LIBERALS. These aberrations may be a far-extreme wing of Republicans, but they are not liberals.

It depends on which GOP you are referring to...

Are you talking about fiscal responsibility, strong values & defense and low taxes.

Or, are you talking about the idealogical extremist, self righteous, narrow minded, low brow proponests of the policies of the last seven years.

I think the latter is more reflective of the administrations idealogy and their base.
