Is this legal??? Thanks everyone. It was sent to me via email after i contacted this "company" via a job seekers website. All the advert said was "work from home - totally legal" Once they have your bank details they will clear you out, don't be a muppet. Check out who you are dealing with. Smells of a scam straight away, why can they not use there friends to do this or there family members?
If it is a legit company then they are evading tax, which if need be interpol can become available at the request of the Taiwan government which means the police knocking on your door if the sums are vast enough.
As you have worked it out for yourself it stinks already.
If its too good to be true then it usually is, which this does to be honest, so stay away.
What will likely happen is they will send a "email" designed to look like it is from "there reputable bank" which will say the money is transfered into your account but will take say 5 days to clear but you can draw on the money now, all you end up doing is sending your money to them from your account.
That is why they want it western union transfer instead of a bank transfer from your account to theres, western union is not traceable to the the reciever. It's simpler.
It's a scam.
The check they give you will bounce, but AFTER you have sent them the "balance after 10%" which is $$ from your pocket.
See, you deposit the check, but the $$have not actually been put in your account. So when you send them their 90%, it's taken from the expected transfer from their check. When their check bounces, the $$ are withdrawn from your account (since they were never there anyway), and you just gave some dude YOUR money! If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Why don't they open up their own accounts? Why would they trust total strangers wi th their "money"? Ignore and report as spam |
