My brother lies about his recent military service. help? |
my step brother was kicked out of the navy for several reasons. when he came home he tells everyone in town that he had been in iraq and killed a bunch of people and saw his best friends head get blown off etc... i know for a fact that none of it is true. the real slap in the face to all vets (myself included) is that he also just joined the marines! i feel they should know about him! he is a true psychopath. i have known him all his pathetic life and he is the type that will say or do anything. he surely cannot be an effective asset...in fact he could flip out and hurt his own guys! any suggestions. also, if you dont have now or in the past some affiliation with the armed services or legal ties that can give me an educated answer...thank you but dont bother! i have been thinking about this for many months.... trust me, your no more insulted than i am! thanks. ok, he got an o.t.h. or medical, i think. he nor his mother will say. all i know is that he was home about 2.5 years sooner than expected. i do know that he got a d.u.i on base in san diego. i confronted him during the holidays and i wanted to do it in front of the family at xmas but he left before i got there. my dad had serious reservations about me doing it too because he is married to his mother... i think you can understand? he has been in the marines for about 3-4 months now and is in missouri now and i hear he is engaged! sad... she has no idea, i'm sure! have served in the first gulf war and consider my four years my greatest accomplishment... he makes me sick! thank for all your answers! I'm sorry but i do not understand how anyone can be kicked out of the navy and then join the marines. Other than that if you want to cure a poser simply introduce him to some real troops and tip them off ahead of time. Then disappear and leave him with them. They will convince him that he truly was in combat. If he got kicked out the Navy, and was able to enlist in the Marines, whatever he did must have been waiverable. I had that issue with a friend once this is how you beat that ask him to let you see his DD214 and if it has a code 3 or higher he got put out the army if you can let me know what the code said. He cant lie every soldier gets one when they end service or chaptered out the army. beat the living **** out of him that is so disrespectfull to all the vets and dead people Trey, Trey, Trey sounds as if you are the one with the problem. Leave brother be and take care of your self. Have a great day. Let a jag know about this its against UCMJ regulation. Call him out in front of everyone, make him embarrassed as hell IF he got kick out of the navy how did he join the marines? talk to the VFW, they may know if there's any legal action that can be taken. My suggestion would be go down to the recruiter's and talk to them. Yes i have been there. well it sounds like you dont just wanna inform ppl you just plain wanna **** w/ him and make sure he cant serve...either way i applaud you but yeah first off go talk to his recruiter tell them he's ******* nuts and what not..may i ask what his rate in the navy was?? anyways if that doesnt suffice or they just dont give a **** and just want a quota..next step would to write a letter to his command letting them know...if he's a depper you could talk to the ppl at meps....either way he sounds like a s/h/i/t/b/a/g and i hope you **** his **** up....keep me posted if you will..\ If you really feel that way, you could write a letter to his MEPS -- *not* to the Recruiter, but to the Medical Section (the CMO) directly, and advise a "thorough, comprehensive" psychiatric evaluation, which they can arrange. 鈥淪hame on those who claim credit for acts of courage they did not commit, their lies are criminal鈥?br>
The only way you can do anything legal is if he uses any false information to gain employment or if he is walking around with decorations he does not rate. You would have to go through your local police department who would then contact the VA a get a coppy of his SRB. It's sad when people do this but what are ya going to do? I had a a problem when I first came home on leave from Iraq. I was only a LCpl at the time but I had a ribbon rack with 14 decorations. I got stoped by a vet who demanded to see my page12 wich was the most moronic thig I ever got asked but rateing some of the medals I had as an E-3 were imposible back in the Nam days. IS your brother registerd with the VA? Maybe he needs mental help? IF he has the right discharge to get care that is. I think with an OTH, admin sep or a general discharge he can still get seen, wait a second, the OTH might not qualify him for the VA services. Thats about all I can think of as far as legal ways to handle it. IF he is running around spreading stories about things that never happened, he will get caught in his BS one day and that will destroy him. |
