What do people on online services expect fellow users to act like, and what do they think are the unspoken norms of the service?

Sometimes i think they expect me to give them best answers but not all the time.

I don't necessarily consider my response a "best" answer. I simply voice an opinion. It they like it, fine, if not that's fine too. Best answers are the ones that the asker or voters consider the most reasonable response to the question asked that covers the topic discussed. I guess I can give just as ridiculous one as a sensible one if I thought about it.
