SHOULD A Question gleaned directly from the History Channel on National TV be a "Terms Of Service" Violation ?

"NOT A QUESTION OR AN ANSWER".

Such was affixed to the ubiquitous "Violation" that I received Yesterday for the following Question:

"WHICH ancient Religious culture gave us the Dildo ???"

THIS obviously-formatted Question was taken directly from a show on the History Channel, a venue I find to be enlightened & informative per Religious topics.
I did in no way add to or construe this Question in any derogatory fashion.

YOUR opinions per this matter are welcome.

Violations should only be used against people who call people out and illegal comments. Things that get deleted now are stupid.


I do think that it was the Greeks that gave us the dildo. I was watching the History Channel, the "History of Sex" and there was one segment where it talked about women going shopping for dildos.

No it should not of been a violation at all' but with these reporters they just report any and everything.I have been violated for saying red' for saying hate and some other bull 4hit too.2ys ago yahoo did not have all this petty reporting for no good reason and maybe one day they'll go back to that format.I hope it's before the next ice age lol

I don't get how that is "not a question or an answer". It's obviously a question.
If someone reported you because they were offended, they obviously didn't stop to think that by reporting it as 'not a question or answer' it makes them a liar. It's a question!

hey, at least you were given a reason. i had some questions removed without any ado. no explanation, nothing. quite disconcerting when you go out of your way to make sure you are keeping to the guidelines. it's just wrong. gives us a little taste of what it's like to be censored, or needlessly persecuted, though. just imagine it on a grand scale... yes, all this just to say, i hear you :)

I would say that that question is not a violation. It obviously offended two people enough to report it so it was removed. Appeal it, you should win unless there were details added to the question that might point to it as a rant or something..

That's just the violation report monkeys use when they have no valid reason. Unfortunately, due to the way the report system is set up, it seems to work like a charm for them.

Somebody just doesn't like you...that's what I conclude when I get those things.

No, shouldn't have been a violation - it was a valid question and I would have been interested in the answers. I'll be visiting the wiki some kind user linked to above as soon as I click submit.

Some idiot Troll must have reported you. Tell Yahoo that the report was wrong, and see if that fixes the problem. Trolls who report falsely quickly lose their cred around here, so that reporter probably won't get away with that behavior for long.

Some religions are oppressive of natural urges. Pity them, dear.

Some of them are also allergic to a sense of humor.

The way this Y/A system is set up is absurd. No question or answer should be considered a violation period. This should be and remain an open forum. Thumbs up or down should be enough.

I find the history channel to have way too many world war two shows.

I like nat geo but they have too many prison shows.
