When trying to get a website up do I need to get to get a hosting package and a sever package?

I was looking at GoDaddy.com and they have hosting packages and server packages. PLEASE do not try to preach which service should be used or not used (i.e. GoDaddy, or Siteground or NetworkSolutions) Im just interested in finding the answer to the above quesion. Thanks everyone!

Server package is required if you have got huge traffic like 10000 uniques per day ,etc else you can go for shared hosting package , you can also check review of top ten web hosting service providers at website like http://aplis.net/ .

You will need a domain name and a hosting service (hosting package).

A domain name is a address such as yahoo.com for people access to it. You can buy a .com domain for less than $10/year.
A hosting service provides a place you can store your web pages, price is vary.

Server package means you rent a whole computer, so it's very expensive.
For beginning, you should buy a cheap plan such as Economy Plan at https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/s...

A server package means you get a whole server to yourself. A hosting package means you share the server with a few other sites. You don't need both. For all but the largest of sites, a hosting package will be just fine. If your site gets slow, or really busy, you could always move to a server package in the future.

Hey, you dont need both packages, to start of all you would need is a hosting package, i would personally reccomend www.vanhost.ca they do webhosting, register domain names and evreything and keep it all simple so all you have to focus on is the making of the website.

Try: http://bluehost-service.atspace.com
