Well I'm 18 now and I have a few questions for you all?

1. Do I need to enlist for national service because I'm a guy and the government is a bit sexist?
2. Does voting for the president of the U.S. increase the chance of the government putting me on Jury Duty? I mean because it's another way to show ID for the government to get in touch with me.
3. I don't have a drivers license so how do I get a state ID? I didn't know this until today that some people are nit picky and school ID's and other ID's with pictures of me and my birthdate on them don't fly or get me anywhere.

Thanks for answering these questions to the best of your abilities. I think that's all the questions I have for now.

1. There is no draft in the U.S. but the government still requires most male citizens and aliens residing in the U.S. to register in case of a national emergency.

2. I believe that the courts use several methods in finding potential jury members. In my area, the main one is from voter registration records. It makes sense that those who care enough to vote might also make the best jurors. It may be inconvenient but it's really just one way you can help keep U.S. citizens free. Most nations without juries have government controlled judges who decide people's guilt or innocence.

3. You can get a state ID at the department of motor vehicles just like you get a driver's license. You'll almost certainly need a certified copy of your birth certificate. Check with your local department of motor vehicles for complete information.

1) Its called Selective Service and Yes you do. It was reinstated back in 1980. You are required by law to register. You can do it online at www.sss.gov.
2) Nah - they'll get all the info they need from your id/license so you may as well vote.
3) You get your ID at the same place you would take your driving test - the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) office. I'd suggest not going towards the end of the month. The lines seem to be longer then.

1) No, but you might if the Demorats get in

2) No, Jury duty comes from you County

3) Go to the DMV to get an ID

4) Now you have to decide to go on to College or get a job
