New at&t phone doesn't work with MEdia Net, MMS messaging, and im...?

I recently bought the new lg vu from at&t, and when i first got it the aim and media net worked fine and then all of a sudden they don't work anymore. when i try to connect it says connection failed. one of my friends said it might be because they didn't give me a new sim card, but i don't know.
and i also looked it up on the at&t website which said to clear the cache and cookies, and i did it stil doesnt work

what should i do?
and, i also checked to make sure i had service, i just wanna make that clear before i get a bunch of answers telling me to do that

Your best bet is to dial customer care from a phone other than your headset and speak with a technician so they can walk you through step by step by the way do you have the data plan on your phone? If not, that may be the problem
