I want to put together a video for youtube...how do i do it?

okay, so i am not very good when it comes to computers and stuff, so bear with me! lol...so, for the first part of my question: if i wanted to take a bunch of clips from from different dvds and put them together how do i do that? then how do i take that mini video with all my clips, and put it on youtube?
I have windows xp, service pack 2...

you need a cd/dvd extractor... that will help you extract the movies into clip from your cd...

or.. get clips from other sites such as metacafe, veoh, ..

Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 video formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker. Ensure you use dvd conversion setting for better quality video.
