My hp scanjet 3970 wont scan color slides on a computer running XP. It's too old to ask about on the HP wbsite |
The error question I get is "The HP imaging device could not be initialized. An error has occurred communicating with the device. Make sure the device's power and cable are properly attached and plugged in. Refer to HP service and support on the Web for more help with this error. The scanning software might be installed improperly, or ther might be a device conflict" I've done everything in the help section, including re-installing the software. I googled "'HP imaging device could not be initialized' HP scanjet 3970" and got one lonely unhelpful question, the same as mine with no answers. Please help!
