How much do you think I should pay friend?

In Luxor I was friendly with guy who worked in hotel there,he has sent me texts for 17 months,although for approx a month not hear nothing.I am only friend although he was wanting marriage at one point,which is crazy,im alot older and know he is probably wanting to just come to UK.I am going to Luxor Oct,but I want someone to come round the hotels with me,cafes etc,shows,I have emailed this young guy but he hasnt answered,I was wondering could I get someone who would just come round to cafes,shows like belly dancing ,I do not wont to go out on my own,do you think someone from hotel where i stay would come or know someone,I am not going to any sites Karnack etc,just want to go to see a good show singing,dancing maybe couple or so nights.How much do you think I should pay someone for this service?

You could hire a guide to escort you around. In Luxor it would help if you had someone with you, especially if you do not speak the language.

How much you pay would have to be agreed before you begin. But bearing in mind that local people in Luxor have very low salaries, then I think that you could offer a guide a real good deal. I think a guide would be happy with 50LE for an evening, and at about 拢5 that would be worth it to you also.

The hotel you stay in would be able to put you in contact with a guide who would be happy to have this job.

I wouldn't pay <anyone>. Enjoy your own company! Besides, you can start conversation with people while you're there at the shows, and they wouldn't be doing it for pay, they'd be doing it for real.

Hi, I would pay someone depending on how much they do for you, say every night/day $10 but that's just me, also you can reason for a price, ask them how much they would like and then reason with it. I hope you have a heap of fun tho, I am a singer myself and trust me, if its a good singer, you are guaranteed to have a great time!!

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, so forgive me if I am mistaken, but you want to give a man (a stranger) money just so that he will accompany you to shows and cafes? Like a male escort (in the true sense of the word)?

I would strongly advise you against this... you don't have to go around on your own, there are tour groups like someone else suggested and i'm sure there are other people who would be staying at the hotel on their own as well. It's not just about safety (although that is obviously a big issue) but why pay someone to hang around with you when you can just make friends with people the usual, safer way...

It's one thing to pay for a tourguide and quite another to pay for someone's company.
