Stupid question but whats the normal size of a house?

see im going to be cleaning hosues but im going to charge by the square footage and then x it by 10. so whats the average house size lol i know thats like impossible to answer but if you could tell me maybe what your guys is maybe i can get an average lmao...ok i know this is stupid to ask

i'm starting a DEEP cleaning services to houses and im trying to figure out if all what i offer is worth only as little as 50.00 and i will be bringing in a partner so thats only 25.00 each : ( i have to pay bills too : ( lol

and another question, can you seriously organize peoples hosues for money, because i was thinking of having that as another services i offer in my business besides just deep house cleaning.

There's such a wide range of house sizes that there's no good way to answer your question.

I would suggest you set up price ranges. For instance - 1000-1500 square feet is x number of dollars. 1500 - 2000 square feet is xx number of dollars. 2000-2500 square feet is xxx number of dollars. And so on ... Then when someone inquires about your services, you can ask the square footage of their home and give them a quote based on that information.

Just as an FYI ... I rented a home in Hinesville, GA that was about 1200 square feet. I paid $150 (I think) to have it professionally cleaned when we moved out and before we turned the keys in to the realtor/property management company.

At another time, my ex and I lived in military housing, a 2 BR apt that was about 850 square feet. We paid $125 to have that place cleaned.

According to a recent news story by NPR, the average size of a new American home is 2,349 square feet.

According to the US Census Bureau, the average size of a US home as of 2006 is 2,469 square feet.

In my area houses range from 2,500 - 5,000 sqft.

Townhomes range from 1,500 - 3,000 sqft.

Condos 800 - 1500sqft.

My 3 bdr 1 1/2 bath ranch is 1785 sq ft. W/finished basement it totals 2700 sq ft.

My parents 3 bdr 1 bath ranch is 1000 sq ft

My brothers 2 bdr 1 bath is 765 sq ft.
